How do I login to my website?

Unless your website required the login page to be masked or hidden in some way, this procedure applies to all self-hosted WordPress websites.

All sites with monthly maintenance plans require 2 Factor Authentication.

Logging In with 2 Factor Authentication (using Email)

STEP 1: Add /wp-login.php after your site's URL in your browser.
STEP 2: BEFORE entering your username and password, click "here" in the "If you agree to these terms, please click here."

NOTE: If it is your first time logging in, or you have recently cleared your browser cache, you may see the Terms of Use confirmation. This is due to Google's RECAPTCHA requesting your permission to load. The RECAPTCHA greatly reduces the number of bots attempting to brute force attack your login form. If you don't see this confirmation, it's ok - it means your permission has been cached.
STEP 3: Enter your username and password, click the "I'm not a robot" box, then click "Log In".

STEP 4: Next, you will be prompted to enter an Authentication Code.  Do NOT navigate away from this page.
NOTE: This is another safety feature that prevents bots from hacking your login.

STEP 5: In a NEW tab or window, open the email belonging to your WordPress account. Within 0-5 minutes, you will receive a one-time authentication code via email. Copy this code to your clipboard (Control + C).

STEP 6: Navigate back to the tab or window where you were asked for the authentication code. Paste the code into the box.

NOTE: Occasionally, your copied code may contain an extra space at the beginning or end - ensure that this extra space is deleted before clicking "Log In".
NOTE: If you accidentally closed the website window, you will need to repeat this process over and receive a new code.
